I can bend down to the lowest point ( I can also do shoot-the-duck backwards and forwards), but when I get to the bottom, I slip or stop spinning. I don't get what's happening! Can someone give me some tips?

  1. you have to spin at the ball of your blade and have you stomache muscles tight

  2. well you get onto the ball of yur blade then slowly go into a sit spin. Get down as far as you can. If yu have ever done a shoot the  duck farwards....its best if yu practice that first then yu know the basics of the sit spin. Yu just have to learn how to .........well spin. its a tricky move ...practice hard and yu will grasp it. Its an amazing move. just keep going at it until you finally get it.

  3. You probably don't notice it as much when you do a shoot the duck, but you lean forward a lot.  That's how you stay balanced.  In a sit spin, everyone tries to go as low as they can, but the lower you go, the further forward you have to be so you can balance.  Try to reach for the foot in front of you when you do your sit spin.

  4. don't lean over with you back

also, spin on the ball of the blade

don't shift your weight super quickly.

do it step by step, slowly, like do it at this height one day, then

get a little bit lower the next day, etc.

for the blade that is off the ground, don't get too close to the ice, unless that is the type of spin you're doing

    (like a sit spin variation-artistic)

keep you leg tight, and don't keep you body really loose
