Question:

How to do an over-the-shoulder roll in volleyball?

My couch really wants our team to know how to do over-the-shoulder rolls, and no one on my team knows how to. So I want to impress the coach with already knowing how, or at least having an idea of how, to do it tomorrow when she has a varsity player come teach us, but I've never even seen how to do it. If you could find me a video that includes this type of roll, that would be amazing. Or, if you could give me an idea of how to do it? Any pointers or tips would be great! Thanks in advance!

    and then on the side there are others.

  2. The key is to ...

    1> dive on one side (e.g. right side), let your shoulder touch the floor;

    2> roll to the other side of your shoulders (right shoulder to left shoulder);

    3> put your palms next to your neck and "push the floor" so that your head doesn't get stuck when you roll over.

  3. When you dive for the ball dive either on your right or left side with yer arm out in front of you , but make sure yer on the side . then pull yer butt and lower torso over your left or right shoulder and land on yer feet . if you have a pointy bra on or a boney back watch when you hit the floor because it can hurt.
