You mean you want to make something like that?  It takes a lot of skill, and a lot of programs to do what he did and make a masterpiece :D  But here are the programs he probably used:

Adobe Flash CS3

Adobe Photoshop CS3

And maybe a couple others to change format, but you probably already have those on your computer anyway.

Flash costs a lot, and usually takes a lot of time to get used to and use in general.  That is the program that you would use to animate Frame-by-frame animations.  Photoshop is used to create pictures that you could then edit and animate in Flash.

I would suggest downloading the trial version of Flash (not photoshop) and play around with it a bit.  Definitely read the directions first.  If its too hard, try it again some other time, but if you think you are ready to make some full-fledged animations, try to find an animating course in your town or city.
