How to do flips like gymnasts and martial arts ppl?

Hey, I'm a soccer player, swimmer, and a bit of a runner, but I would love to know how to to flips like gymnasts and martial arts ppl. I wanna just know how, and maybe I can try it (safely, with a mat, and a helper). I'd love to know how to flip. if any gymnasts or martial arts ppl could tell me how to front flip, back flip, etc., i'd love to know.

    i do level nine gymnastics, and my best thing to you is: go to a tumbling class! it's soo unlikely you'll learn flips on your own, half the late starters at my gym couldn't master handstands by themselves.

    so, temporarily join a tumbling class, or maybe a back handspring clinic? once you've learned everything, from handsprings to tucks, you could quit or carry on with it; you'll learn cartwheels/roundoffs first, then the build-ups to back handsprings and you'll be spotted (someone will hold your body) for a while until you can do it unsupported.

    if you really really won't go then my last advice is; a trampoline. if you've got one, watch some tutorials (search 'how to do a back handspring' or 'how to do a back tuck') on youtube and see the build-ups to them. try it on your tramp, or on someone elses.

    I would call this a 'back somersault'/hands do not touch the floor.. in a Gymnastics tumble, we perform:roundoff, "backflip"..etc.... in a Backflip you basically jump back onto yr hands . Start off by jumping to handstand then perfect yr legs (all this with a mat nd spotterr) !! My Advice: GO FOR IIIT mayyte (Y) :-)

    the video: its quite informative nd funnyy, altho HE AINT GOTS NO MAT (braver than me anywheys).. perform on a tumbling mat of some kind or a" wedge-cushion"from the peak so yew hav optimum time.

    Watch videos after videos (youtube- whey hey !!) nd yule pick it aall up.

  4. *** martial arts. lol, jus take a chance, u mite make it n if u dot, u cud always use ur arms to help you land, jus remember to try them on grass or a trampoline

Well im a cheerleader so i hope i can help. if you have a bit of moey you can take tumbling classes locally. i take it once a week with y squad and have bbecome quie good. i can do a back handspring,front handspring,backtuck,running tuck, aerial. or try a trampoline for practice much better than a mat.

  7. try going to a class. it would be cool if you learned how and did it during the soccer game and threw it in like the movies! haha
