  1. I don't know if you know of him or not but Michael Shurtleffs 12 guide posts will help you get into to character faster for a cold reading. And also just remember don't be nervous, you are not yourself your somebody else!

  2. dont stand still, move a little, talk with confidence even if your not confident with the material, glancing up from the paper would also be awsome. good luck!

  3. If you know the piece they will be doing study it or the author of the piece, if you can. Even a brief overview can help you understand the direction of the piece. You could dress to fit the part/s.

also if you know the director you can research that person.

On the other hand you could try to look like a blank canvas with neutral clothes and especially neutral/natural hair.

Above all else, being on stage is about good public speaking skills.

E nun ci ate.  Make the director think that you could connect with the audience.

Read your line then look up and deliver it. Always, always, read then deliver. A sentence at a time if you have to. Practice with the newspaper, or internet, or just anything you can read. Read a line, look up, deliver line.

  4. Well look at this, ask yourself this question, Why do you watch your favorite actor/actress? Then go with that
