How to do good dressage?

I am trying to do the competition

Dressage: Mexican

It keeps coming up with

"Pirouette at canter"

"Pirouette"

Stuff like that.

  1. Hi! I am a horseback rider. Well, i would really start to take dressage lessons, and get to know your horse. If you don't have a horse, i would look for one. Because dressage is all about beauty , bond, and contact with your horse. So, take more dressage lessons, and if you dont have a horse, buy one.


  2. I have a dressage background and I have no idea what "Mexican dressage" is. There is really only one type of dressage. Pirouettes at the canter are where the horse canters while keeping his inside hind leg in one place. Executed correctly, the horse can make a complete circle while seeming to canter in one place. It is a pretty advanced move. If you don't know what it is I would say you and your horse are not ready to try it. You should study some books on dressage and take some dressage lessons. You will have to start at the beginning with the basics of simple bends and having a balanced walk, trot, and canter.
