I just got my hair cut and it is about shoulder length or maybe a little shorter and it has layers. I tried putting it in a bun but the layers stick out. Does anybody have any ideas on how to do my hair for skating and if you do could you explain how to do it? Thanks!

by the way my hair is also really thin

  1. gel

    bobby pins

    hair net

braid it and then wrap the braid into a bun

my friend also had pretty short hair and she has the whole hair sticking out of the bun issue but she uses a scrunchy over the finished bun so that it holds down most of the little hairs (it actually works a lot better than you'd think it would . at least it does on her hair)

  2. I would do your hair in the bun but put a headband in your hair as well and maybe bobby pin or clip those loose hairs back and make it look like a messy bun

  3. put the front back and use lots of hairspray :D

  4. You can slick it back with a really strong hair product and hold it with barettes or bobby pins.  Some of those really strong goops turn your hair into plastic, practically. I've seen hair your length forced into being pulled back if that's the look you want.

It sounds like you could get away with not pulling it back, or maybe just a pin or two near your eyes to hold it back from your face.

  5. try 1/2 updo

  6. I have this issue too when I'm skating. Put it into a bun, and get some bobby pins. Use the bobby pins to pin down the hair sticking out. Spray on some hairspray, and voila!

  7. Use lots of bobby pins to hold it in place and hairspray.

  8. You metioned a bun, there is a neat bu you can do with layered hair. Put all your hair into a middle pony at the back of your head. Get a sock (Like the foot kind lol) and cut a hold in it (cut the bottom of, make sure its only a ankle or trainer sock. roll it up so it look like a doghnut. Put it on like a bobble but dont wrap it round. Put your head down and space your hair over it. When th sock is covered, put a bobble over the top to keep it in place, and spray with hairspary. Add another bobble, and da daaaaaa! you have a perfect neat bun, and no one knows its really a sock :)

  9. put your hair in a high pony tail so it all gets up... then put what bangs(if u have them) dont go in the pony tail down and straiten them!:]

  10. Ummm...I guess you could just buy one of those big hair pins and clip ur hair onto the hair on the  back of your head.

  11. well if it is for a competition i think you could get away with low pig tails or two low quick buns with some fancy scrunchies or a low pony if its for a show then i would add a lotta sparkles or maybe go to like boricks and get ur hair done  then 4 bangs if u do em then u can use a barret and turn them back

  12. Well  if u hav bangs u can put ur bangs in a bumpp or puff on top with bobby pins. that could look cute but when skating get snappy clips they probably wont fall out as easy as bobbypins would. Hope i helped

  13. try an updo it the best

  14. Since it is short, I would leave it as is. Apparently, it won't get in the way

  15. this is what i do

i tie a ponytail. then i braid it. then i twirl it into a bun n put in about 6 - 10 bobby pins. it totally works!

  16. French plaits?

And if your layers stick out then use a lot of hairspray and grips and it should stay in fine
