How to do maths course from home?

Ive tried learn direct,was'nt impressed but need to do a level under GCSE to start of with.

  1. Just find someone who can help you.  It's particularly easy to do maths through home ed because you don't need any resources except for pen and paper.


  2. If you contact the Open University, their Level 0 and introductory courses are suitable for below GCSE and for people who haven't studied before, and the study materials are excellent!

I home educate my daughter and we use STP Mathematics published by Nelson Thornes.  Each book covers a year, so books 10 & 11 are GCSE work.  I would suggest you get one of the book 9s.  I don't know what standard your maths is but A books are for those aiming at Higher Tier GCSE and the B Books aim for the Foundation Tier.

    They are quite traditional in their approach - no pretty pictures but plenty of exercises.

    NB I don't know how old you are but the Open University will not take under 18s except in very special circumstances

  4. there's books on it that are simple to follow. It's the basic rules you need, once you've absorbed them, you're sailing. They sell them at WH Smiths
