How to do rental application background check for international applicants?

We're going to rent out our condo and a couple from Europe is coming by to check it out. Do we need to do anything special for the background check? Work is relocating them for a few years.

I really don't think there is anyway you can do it if they come from Europe. There are no public records of criminals in europe...

Contact Intelus and they will do it for you for a fee. Otherwise contact your local Housing Authority and ask them how to go about it. Also call HUD, Housing & Urban Developement and talk to them.
