I am in requirement wherein I have to do a stealth forwarding of my domain. Is it required to use services from DNS service providers? Can I initiate by myself? If I can not do it myself I would really appreciate if you can suggest some reliable service providers that do so.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I'm a bit confused about your question. Do you want to forward an URL so that when people visit www.yourdomain.com, they see another website?

If this is what you're looking for then you need to set up a web forward (URL forward).

This can be done with a simple redirect, so that www.yourdomain.com changes to www.theotherdomain.com in the address bar.

The other way, and presumably what you're looking for, is to redirect in a frame. This is also called cloaking. The advantage is that the visitor will continue to see www.yourdomain.com in the address bar, however all the links that the visitor might hover over will still show as www.theotherdomain.com/pagename/whatever... in the status bar of the browser.

I've only used this service with one free provider: worked without problem.

If you're trying to do another setup, please update your question, I'll check back later to see if you've added anything.
