  1. 3t2 + 8t + 4 = 0

    = 3t2 + 6t + 2t + 4  = 0

      -= 3t (t+2) + 2 (t + 2) = 0

            therefore, answer = (3t+ 2) (t+2) = 0

        if 3t + 2 = 0, then 3t = -2 and t= -2/3

       if t+ 2= 0 , then t = -2
