1. (4.5 yards)($3.50/1 yard)

2. 2x^2 + 5x -1, X = 2

3. 4 (b^2 + b) - 3 (2b^2 - b)

4. 2a + 8 = 4a + 12

5. 1/5x + 2/3 = 2/5x =1/3

    2. 2*2^2 + 5*2 -1=17

    3.  4 (b^2 + b) - 3 (2b^2 - b)=

          =4b^2 + 4b- 6b^2 +3b=-2b^2 +7b

    4.      2a + 8 = 4a + 12

    2a=-4

    a=-2

    5. 1/5x + 2/3 = 2/5x +1/3

    1/3=1/5x

    x=5/3
