For time being the procedure is under trail only in Mumbai.

i) If ticket reservation is available, ask your mobile recharge top-up vendor to accept seperate payment for the railway ticket. The so paid money for the ticket will be transferred to the service provider through a designated account, which will be further transferred to the railways.

ii) The customer then receives a pin number, which he has to key in at a Railway Kiosk and print his ticket.

The railways has tied up with PayMate and they are working towards purchase of tickets through mobile phones.
