Well, meu velho, your woman must be different because the majority of Brasilian women are "meigas" like the Amelia of the song.  Normally in Brasil (I spell it as it should) girls, women are more feminine than the European. Look at the way they dress and walk. I am talking of the middle/upper class. They are very beautiful. If yours is slightly bossy it is up to you to impose your will. Just tell her how much she means to you and that you are the man and she is the woman. This means that you will take care and protect her and expect her behaviour to be gentle and friendly.
