STAY AWAY from MICROSOFT ANTI VIRUS XP (any year) it is a very bad virus that cripples your pc

I've always used the website

this is usually where I d/l trials of McAfee. I don't like Norton or the others ..just McAfee. This is the only place that i recommend because i haven't had a bad experience yet **knock on wood**. All through college when my trial would run out i'd just go back to this site and d/L it again. I also recommend getting SpyBot b/c that helps remove spyware and adware.

A very good, free anti-virus available to download is AVG 8 Anti-virus:

And for any spyware problems, get SpyBot - Search and Destroy:

Both are free, as powerful as paid programs, like Norton and McAfee, and don't use up as many resources.

Just boot into Safe Mode (Press F8 when turning on the computer) and run full scans.
