  1. Hi there, i think this site will help you with what you need

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/H...

  2. Here's my "stock" answer. It will help you with the download as well as the install.

downloading and installing fonts (for Windows)

From the font site, click on download. It will ask if you want to open or save the font. If it shows that it is a zipped/compressed file and not a single ttf font file, choose save to disk and work your way in the dialogue box so that you save to your desktop.

Find the zipped file on your desktop. It will most likely contain the font(s) a text read-me and maybe an explorer link. You will need to unzip the file before you can do anything with it. Right click on the file and select expand (or extract) and have it extract right back to the desktop.

In the extracted folder, you will have file(s) with the .ttf extension.

Go to your fonts folder. Either through the start menu > control panels > fonts (make sure you are using Classic View for the control panels - it's much easier). OR go to My Computer>Drive C>Windows>Fonts.

You can then either copy the new fonts (just the ttf files) from the file on your desktop and paste them into the fonts folder (best thing to do if you want to share the fonts with someone else - it will be easier to find them again on your desktop than in the fonts folder). Or you can cut and paste them into the fonts folder or you can just drag them into the fonts folder.

If when you originally download the font from a site it just shows it as a single .ttf file, you can either follow all of the above (except the unzip part) or you could do the save as and find your way directly to the fonts folder as described above.

When you are installing the font, it should bring up a "thermometer" showing that it is happening. That's it.

If you have any programs running you will probably need to quit and restart them before they see the newly installed font. Worse case scenario - if the fonts aren't showing up, restart the computer.
