How to dress up a uniform?

Question

I wear a uniform (plaid skirt and matching polo) but its my senior year & I wanna dress it up a little bit without breaking the rules, which are really limiting to color choices. Its pretty much only maroon, green, & white only. Any suggestions as to how I can go around the rules & look good doing it?

No bags! I have a backpack so I don't need to carry around a purse or anything else unnecessary.

i have to wear a uniform too and they are soo strict about it and if you have a tiny little safety pin to make the skirt fit better they give you like 5 demerits!! but i think if i were you id just do something cool with my hair or draw all over my shoes like i did last year lol. but i went to a different school so they didnt care as much.

Are jewelry and hair accessories limited to those colors also? I go to a private school and our uniform consists of dress pants and a polo (5 color options). We don't have rules though for jewelry and accessories for colors, and I don't think any school would either - so here are some ideas.

MY favorite - I love wearing my hair in cute styles like a low, wavy ponytail with a sequin headband. My favorite store to get these is Claire's - all hair accessories are buy one get one 50% off.

i have to wear uniforms too , but a good hairstyle and jacket/hoodie/sweater will do . it will make the whole outfit seem more outstanding [:
