How to drink more water?

well i know i am supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day but i can barely manage 2 glasses for some reason! i can take about 2 sips at a time or else i feel really sick and if i drink a whole cup in one sitting i nearly throw up. wtf is wrong with me???

  1. Some people just don't like the taste of water. Try mixing in no calorie flavoring into it or squeezing some lemon juice into it. Bottled water also tastes really good and is refreshing when it's cold. I know you won't be able to drink 8 glasses a day at first, but more water is better than none at all.


  2. You actually don't need to drink all 8 cups of water.  As long as you get it from foods, such as lettuce, it's ok.

  3. that was proven false, you only need to drink as much water as your body expels, when you feel thirsty, it is proper to drink

    people in the military and people who work in outdoor, hot climates must forcefully drink the water, because of heat exhaustion, there is no proven benefit that 8 glasses will improve anything, except helping you feel fuller

  4. I have the same problem.  I just always keep a water bottle in the fridge and whenever I walk through the kitchen, take a drink.  Or whenever I'm generally thirsty, or at almost every meal.

  5. Drink Crystal Light.

    Add it to you water. My family goes through a gallon in a day.

    It just water, with flavor.& it's healthy.

It turns out drinking 8 glasses of water a day doesn't do anything except make you pee a lot.  But there is a reason the misconception still exists that it's good for you-- people who drink 8 glasses of water a day tend to be healthier.  However, that has nothing to do with the water... it's actually because people who listen to the "experts" on that particular bit of health advice are generally the same people who actually do what the experts say when they're right, like eating healthier and exercising.  But that much water itself has been proven to do nothing positive in controlled studies... you really need maybe 2-3 glasses a day, or more if you're working a lot or in the heat.

  8. Nothing is wrong with you, it takes some getting used to. Keep in mind there's water in a lot of foods. I'd just start carrying around a water bottle wherever you go. Keep it up!
