Question:

How to dry dishes without a dish drainer/rack?

I am going to move into a smaller apartment with a small kitchen. I always hate the dish rack because it takes up so much space and is not the nicest looking thing... Does anyone have any idea how I should dry my dishes without having a dish rack? We do have a dishwasher but I normally don't have too much dishes and it's not energy efficient to always use the dishwasher. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  1. dry by hand  with a terry towel

    when dry put in closet

    best

  2. Wipe them off with a cloth

If you don't have time for that, set them on a cloth on the counter

And they'll be dry by the time you need them next.

  3. Lay out a towel on the counter and start laying out your dishes starting with a cup.  Lean the next dish up against the cup.  Lean each succeeding dish on the one before leaving enough room between each to allow air to circulate between them.

  4. just place a towel on the counter when you're doing it and put the dishes there when your done.

    Hope I've helped.

  5. Once the dishes are rinsed, place them on the counter.  Then use a dish towel to dry them and put them away.
