How to earn $700.00 in a month?

I know this seems rediculous but it must be done. I'm 13 and my parents can't afford my diving lessons and i need $700.00 more in less than a month. or around 500.00 ish. ANY IDEAS THAT A 13 YEAR OLD CAN DO?????

I just posted an answer to a similar question suggesting tutoring. (Check my answers for the more detailed response.)

Determine what you're good at--math, English, a foreign language, etc. Then print up some fliers promoting your tutoring. Charge a reasonable amount: $7-$10 an hour. "Sell the sizzle": promote the benefits of your service.

It's not going to bring in $700, unfortunately. But if you tutored 1 hour a day during the week and 2 hours each on Saturday and Sunday, at $10 an hour you'd earn $90 a week. That's close to $400 in a month. So, on second thought, you might actually be able to get to $500.

Then: Negotiate with the diving school/coach. Explain your situation. And offer to help out around there. My son, who's in high school, is receiving a big discount at a local karate school because he helps out there. He helps teach a class, but he's also done everything from painting the dojo to distributing fliers.

And when you're competing in the Olympics, remember how you got started!
