How to earn a phone?

my 12th birthday is on the 23 of august (next saturday) and i want anew cell phone. i had an silve enV but i lost it in january and i did not tell my parents i waited but they found out 3 weeks later in early february they said i had to wait 2 months until i can get a new phone so i waited and then he chenaged it to my b-day then christmas then next april when my contract ends then to when im 13. in june my mom got a enV2 so i got her old vx8300 and it died 2 days ago. it has died b4 but not 4 good only 4 few hours ago it is completely dead now and the verizon guy won't fix it. it keeps falling out of my pocket bc of its bulkiness i have to hold it and it falls so it is scratched up!!! my phone got made fun of by everyone even ppl without phones. i want to buy a new one with my money bc the 1 i want is 409 dollers and i have that and i could still keep my $1000 cd going and still have some alot left over but he wont let me. what should i do to try to convince him i am responsible and ready i am already doing dishes and not asking 4 allowance.

there is NO reason you need a $409 phone, you've proven that you can not take care of a phone, & you expect your parents to let you go into your savings to buy a top of the line phone!!!!!! If I was you I would settle for a cheap/free phone from your carrier, & be happy with that!!!!!!
