Yes...if you are referring to the rolls, the black ring is just pressed seaweed....it is actually good for you and meant to be eaten.

To eat the sushi, just pick up a piece with your chopsticks (or hands, if you can't use chopsticks) and bite the whole thing in half...or you can put the whole thing in your mouth at one time.

step one order

step two select piece

step three grab with chop sticks / fingersare acceptable if youre cant operate the sticks

step four select sauce and dip

finally eat and enjoy

just make sure youre at a good sushi place
