How to edit the yahoo group invitation before sending it?

you cant edit it. you add the e-mail address and that's all you do- the rest is default. at one time you had a text box to add a message, in April that was disabled.

Personally my preference is to create my own invitation with a description of my group and the URL pasted into the message then email it. It's much more personal.
