How to eliminate sweat odours from earphones ?

I use the same pair of in-ear earphones in the gym.

Lately, the headphones started giving our a bed sweaty smell.

Is there a way to clean/eliminate this smell without damaging the earphones ?

i'm not sure if this would work, but you could try rubbing alcohol.

it is the safest thing to use while cleaning electronics because it eveaporates quickly
