I need to email my resume to someone who cannot open the attachment from Microsoft office 2007 from my vista settings. he said to send it as an old word document. I tried that, by cutting and pasting in the old format of word, and he still cant open it. Can anyone help me? I need to send it as an attachment, so he can make changes, I dont want to just cut and paste in the email.

  1. either save as a RTF file or publish into a PDF file. both file types can be opened by various programs.

  2. You need to use "save as" and save it in an older format through word.

  3. when you are saving your file, choose the Office button, (round circle at the top, with the office logo),

    click "Save As"

in the "Save as Type" box, click the little "down" arrow, and choose "Word 97-2003 Document".

Then give it a filename, and hit the "Save" button.

Voila, an old format of Word!

  4. What you need to do is, save your resume in office 2003 format. the way to do this is, use the "Save As" option to save your document, and then select the type as "office 2003" or something like that. To do this, click on the (circular/round) office symbol (top right hand side corner, and click on "save as", then select "word 97-2003 document". go to, http://support.formsonadisk.com/users_gu...
