How to enable DHCP on my Internet router?

I bought a 360 yesterday and I have been trying to connect to the Internet (using an ethernet cable connecting to my Internet router (I have charter high speed Internet if that helps any)) and it keeps failing when it comes to the IP address, it says i should enable DHCP on my router but I can't seem to find a how to guide or anything for my specific router, and in the properties nothing makes sense to me... is there a guide out there for this specific router? I'm just really confused here...

No one will be able to tell you if there is a guide for "this specific router" because you didn't tell us what model the router is.

That being said, you'll want to look for "LAN IP Setup" or something similar.  If you provide the model of the router then answerers might be able to be more specific.

There might be a guide for your specific router, but we won't know that unless we know what model of router it is.....
