How to enable wifi on my pc?

I have been trying to get this question answered for a while and the person who gives me the best answer gets max amount of points. I have at&t and wireless but i dont know how to enable it. HELP!!!

  1. Ok, first of all do you have a wireless card on your computer? If you do, make sure you get the latest driver for that wireless adapter. Check your network and connect to it with the right password and you should be able to start surfing. If you didn't set one up, go to your router's properties and create your own network. To get there, type 192.168.0.1 in the web browser.

You say you have AT&T and wireless, is that a 2wire router and DSL or Uverse service?  If so wireless is enabled and working.  IF your PC has a wireless card (check under the control panel and network adapters) then enable the card, view wireless networks, you will see a 2wireXXX (where x*x is the last three numbers of the serial number)  To connect you will need the WPA / WEP code from the routers label.. it is located between the braces [ 10 digits].  When you connect from your PC you will be asked for that code, enter those 10 digits (twice) and you will connect.
