How to encrypt wifi connection in windows XP?

Recently i bought Belkin Wireless G plus Router. It has WPA , and WPA-2 security, but I dont know how to turn it on. Last time a lot of people were using my internet connection , because it was unsecured. My operating system is Windows XP, but on my laptops i have Vista

You need to log into the router

go here http://192.168.2.1

the log in is usually

username = admin

password = password  or admin

you will be able to set your security there, change you router password too.
