  1. Well there are a lot of small things that you could do to enhance your time.

    -Breathing right

    -Practice (alot)

    -eat right

    -where light clothes

    -get good running shoes

  2. start a breath on a particular foot (like right)

then after two steps on that foot, breath out

    thats a good breathing technique

    practice EVERY morning

    get lightweight, cushioning running shoes

    and wear cotton

drink 10 glasses of water a day

and try crunches, push ups and weights to strenghten armsa nd legs

btw 21 minutes is very good 3 mile time

  3. Well it would mean running a full minute faster each mile...which is not that easy to do especially if that 21 felt like you were going your fastest.

You would have to run three 6 minute miles. To get this fast you need to do a combination of speedwork (sprint for 2 minutes, jog/run for 3, repeat lots of times), tempo runs (run at a specific pace over a specific distance), and long runs (5+miles)

All of this combined will help your speed, pacing, and endurace.

  4. you need to increase the millage and do speed trainning this one worked for me, 2 years ago i was doing 22min now 18min:-

    Monday:- 6 miles jog

Tuesday:- track session 8 times 200meters at sub 40 sec

Wednsday:- 3 miles fflat out as fast as you can

    Thursday:-6 miles slow jog

Friday:- 1 mile at 6.30min on road then jog 1 mile to rest and repeat intill you have done 3 fast miles and 3 slow recovery miles

    Saturday:- rest day

Sunday 10 miles (try building this milage over time up to about 15 miles this should take up to 6 weeks, do it slowlly and gradually. By doing long runs such as 15 miles you're time will drop to about 17 min.

    Good luck
