Hi everyone,

I have my mum coming over for 3 days next week and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what to do to entertain her. I do not have much money to spend on days out and she cannot walk very far so out door activities are slightly limited.

Any ideas anyone???

  1. Movies, music, cards, games

  2. She will probably be quite happy to be in your presence. Others have offered good specific ideas. My contribution: Relax and instead of planning out things, have various ideas in mind and ask, "Mum, what would you like to do this afternoon/evening/morning?"

She could hardly hobble on a stick, but persisted, drank endless cups of tea, and spent a bit of time with my mum (also younger than herself). Together Alfred and I gave the two them a valentine's dinner with cake!! She was a brilliant and fun lady.

  3. what do you like to do?She is coming to spend time with you adn I am positive she would enjoy pretending she was your sister not you mother.

  4. get a DVD and watch that

or play some games like sherrards or chess or monopoly

or talk for a little while or ask your mum what she wants to do

or go for a walk in the park

  5. Start off with a great and friendly conversation with her and build it from there. You can probably get her a few collections of things you accomplished and for her to see. Or talk about your work or school and tell her about your great progress in things.

Also, you could then make her breakfast, lunch, and dinner and bring in a few of your close family members, if any, to join you all.

Other ideas would be like taking her by car, or by bus, and to a place like a park, lakeside, a quiet countryside, or if she loves a bit of a noise, you can take her to a downtown area or something.

    Those are some.

    Hope this helps

  6. How about digging out all your photos and spend an evening looking through them and reminiscing over them.

What films does she like?  Maybe a DVD night with wine and a meal.

If he stay includes a Wednesday maybe a night at the cinema on BOGOF with Orange Mobile.

Whatever you do I am sure you will enjoy your time with your mother - enjoy x

  7. board games & movies

Games are a LOT more fun than we think they are!
