How to entertain yourself on a long train journey?

Question

me and my best friend are going on a train journey to go on holiday together and we will be on the the trains for 4 hours!

We dont really want to waste ipod charge time as we want to use it in while on holiday and will have no where to charge it! other ideas welcome please.

we dont really like puzzles to be fair!

But are open to new ideas!

Ipod, sudoku, books, magazines, gameboy and puzzles are a good choice of them.

I wish I could tell you how I would entertain myself but that sort of activity cannot be discussed here.

I do it either by reading a book or writing some more to my book. Maybe drawing every so often although the jerky movements could affect this.

Up date your address book, write hard copy letters to friends and family, journal your impressions of travel and discovery...
