How to entice rabbit to play

Question

Hi, my rabbit rarely plays. She would run around like crazy when I first let her out but that would be it. She would lay around all day getting petted.

I thought I would rearrange my room and do a bunny playland. What could I buy or make to make her play.

Well, I would get her to explore new places! Also, I have found that my bunny is MORE hyper and playful at certain times of the day. This is when I take him out. I think you should find out when these "certain times" are for you bunny. You COULD make her some toys. Some ideas from the top of my head -

~ Toilet Paper roll filled w/ hay

~ Cardboard Boxes with openings

~ Balls w/ bells in them

~ Balls w/ food in them for them to TRY to get out

~ Chew/Throw Toys

Also, at the pet store, there is a specific places for rabbit toys. If you make your rabbit toys, make sure there are non-toxic, ect...

I like to hide food beneath hay, inside boxes, ect... for my rabbit to find!

You could also buy a leash/harness. DO NOT buy one for a cat.

I would suggest a "H HARNESS"

Just remember, rabbits love to DIG, CHEW, AND EXPLORE!!

hmmm well rabbits dont play with humans that much unless they are really excited

they prefer the quite life but spcing things up for her is a great idea

im sure she'll go crazy investigating things, other wise, try doing some rabbit agility with her to build your relationship and have more fun :]

yea my bun doesn't play with me exactly..... but i can give you a couple of tips for games for her to do?

toilet tube stuffed really tight with layers of food, hay, a treat, hay.

a large box (like a beer crate!)  with two oppsing sides cut down and a hole cut out of the top. maybe with straw in.

drape a blanket from a sofa or similar size, so she can run under it (mine loves this one)
