How to estimate painting a gazibo?

I was hired to paint a gazibo and i dont know how to estimate the job. do i charge by the hour for my services or one flat rate. and how much should i ask for to buy the paint?

You may want to charge by the hour. You are going to have to brush paint it if it has exposed rafters and you want good coverage. You could offer a price to spray it vs brushing it, leaving the choice up to them. spraying will be much faster, but the coverage will not be as good.

You will need to know the square footage you need to cover to buy the paint, and that depends on the size of the gazebo, how many sides it has, rafters, railings, etc.
