  1. First & foremost you have to form a company or a firm, & with this firm you will have to aquire an Import Export License (IEC) from the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) at New Marine Lines - Mumbai. You have to go thru a lot of documentation for aquiring the same or alternatively you can contact a Custom House Agent (CHA) who will help you with the documentation in aquiring this license.

Once you have aquired an IEC you will then have to open an EDC account with a Customs specified bank at the port from which you want to export. For example if MUMBAI port then you have to open an account with Bank of India. This account is specifically for getting drawbacks, & you will not be able to operate this for any other purposes.

After that you can export to any country by consulting a CHA who will help you in forwarding the shipment. For getting a CHA or getting more details on exporting, you can search for the same on www.trade-india.com or www.indiamart.com. These websites are specifically made to facilitate foreign trade, where in you can also search for CHA's also.

I think this information will be suffice for you, otherwise get in touch with a reliable CHA who will be utmost essential for making exports atleast in the beginning.
