How to factory restet (hard reset) a TomTom ONE 130?

Its freezing up at welcome screen i want to factory reset it to how it was when I bought it, anyone know how to??

  1. TomToms have a tiny little hard to see and find reset button around the hole for the docking base.

    if you call the help line they can walk you though it.


  2. To do a hard (factory) reset you have to go to "reset factory settings" in your preferences.  Obviously you can't do that now.

    To do a soft reset on a ONE 130, just hold down the power button for about 15 seconds.  You'll see the tomtom reboot and it will play the little drums sound.

    You might need to reinstall the application on your tomtom.  Refer to this link for help with that:  http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?...

    Be careful when you follow the instructions.  Where it says not to delete the folders, it also should say not to open the folders and delete anything.

    By the way "30 series" refers to the ONE 130 and 130S.

    EDIT:  Hey I saw your other question.  If it's not letting you update, then you will have to call support, like I said for the other question.

    Go down and select your model.

    Then it tells you how to reset it.

    Also it may take several tries to get the website to work.
