How to fax to germany from the USA if I'm not sure if I have international dialing.?

I'm not sure if the fax machine where I work has international dialing. what do I do. I need to fax from a hospital to a doctors office in germany

The telephone country code for Germany is 49.

To call Germany from the USA you dial 011-49-the rest of the number (ex. 011-49-89-123-456).  Note that phone numbers are often listed the way one would call them from inside Germany, which means they start with a zero (ex. 089-123-456).  Just drop that first zero and dial the 011-49 instead.

If dialing from a business (like a hospital, you may first have to dial a number (ex. 9) to get an outside line.

The area code is 0049 then followed by the fax number - remember to leave the first 0 off the actual German Number.

they have international dialing....simply get the number and use the 011 - 49 - etc code.
