  1. u should try looking for a syringe that u could usually find at like walmart.

  2. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest.  Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched.  If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival.  Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  3. Do NOT feed or give them water.  The mother did NOT likely abandon the nest.  She only comes once or twice a day to feed them, unless they are too young to have feathers. Puy them back.

If this is the case it is very ILLEGAL for you to have them, touch them.  They are Federally protected.

  4. How do you know the mother has abandoned them?  The mother does not stay at the nest 24/7 once the babies have hatched.  Unless you knew for a fact that the mother bird was gone-like you saw the mother bird get hit by a car, for example, then don't touch them.  It is very possible that it is also illegal in your area for you to interfere with the babies anyway.  If the mother did abandon the babies then that would mean there was some sort of problems with them so they would end up dying anyway.  Don't interfere.
