How to feed new born-new born kitten.

Hello. This morning i heard kitten crying outside from the parking lot at my apartment complex. So i hurried up and went outside to look for it and i found a new born baby kitten. She/He didn't even open the eyes and have no teeth. I put her/him inside the towel and went to petsmart and bought KMR(bottle and kitty milk powder and stuff) and tried to feed her/him but won't suck the nipple. And i think the nipple attacked on the bottle is too hard for the baby. I made kitten urinated 2 times already but it won't try to suck the milk... What should i do? She/He's just sleeping. Oh and I have 5-month-old dachshund and she tries to l**k the kitten. Can i let her do that?

get a eyedropper and gently open its mouth and put in only a little . make sure its warm but not hot. and as for your puppy l*****g the kitten, its  ok . but no ruff play . good luck

You have to make sure that the kitten will take milk from the bottle or it will die. Try different nipples that came with the bottle or try to make the hole on the nipple a little bigger by using a sterilized needle and while it is hot you make the hole a little bigger. Squeeze the bottle a little but be careful not to drown the kitten with too much milk. It takes some practice but you have to be persistant in order to save the kitten's life. If you can you should take it to the vet ASAP so they can check its health and help you with ways to care for it. I don't see any harm in your dog l*****g the kitten; in fact it will probably make the kitten feel comforted. Let them lay together if possible so the kitten will get body heat and comfort from the dog. Be sure to watch them when they are together to be sure that the dog isn't too rough with the kitten. Did you try putting a hole in the nipple, most of them do not have holes when you first buy them.

Next try getting a drop of milk on the end and rub it along the kittens mouth so that it will open up and try to drink the milk. If you still cannot get it to drink try calling an animal shelter or vet's office for advice, they will give you information on how to care for it.

Did the bottle come with more than one nipple? You may need to try a different one.

Also, don't be afraid to squeeze the bottle just a little bit to get some milk out.

I would say it's OK for your dog to l**k the kitten, but you may want to get the kitten checked for illness before you really do. Take the kitten to a vet and get him/her checked out. The vet can also let you know what else you need to do.

maybe the kitten is to weak to eat.. try taking it to a vet...
