  1. Take total bill and multiply by .20

  2. I use my calculator in my cell phone.

  3. Say your Bill is $10.

    10% of that is $1.

    Double it.  So, 20% of $10 is $2.

  4. first remove the tax

    and divide the number by 5

    20% is 1/5, one-fifth

  5. move the decimal and double

  6. I take 10% and double it.....I may add or subtract a little depending on level of service.

  7. 4$ for every 20

    If the server did a good job, throw a little more down.

    A server will always remember a good tip and repeat service is always better than when a bad tipper comes back to the restaurant

    Tips= To Insure Proper Service.

  8. ok, ill give you an example, its the easiest way to explain it.

    This is what I do when I go out

    Say the bill is $44.35

    10% would be $4.43

    so you double it = $8.86 is a twenty percent tip!

  9. I always double the tax (usually about 7-8%) and then add another $2 for every $10. It may not be exactly $20, but close. You can always move the decimal and double that.
