I'm doing an experiment and I need to study thousands of results. There's a program on the TI-83 where you can plug in your specific odds but it's tedious...I was wondering if there was an online application like this?

i.e. A- 47% chance of winning

B- 47% chance of winning

C- 6% chance of winning

After 100 spins and so on and so on....I want to see all the results...preferably online so I could print them out.

  1. Simple Answer:

If you have a 47% chance to win, then after 100 coups you can expect 100 x 0.47 = 47 winners - and the same logic applies to any other possible result as well.

    Complicated Answer:

There is an equation that calculates the Probability for Ruin in any game. It may (or may not) be what you are looking for. Perhaps you could search the Internet - or the library may have a copy of Warren Weaver's "Lady Luck" where the problem is explained in layman's terms.

  2. do a search for "binomial calculator" and you'll find what you are looking for.  here is a link to one example:

  3. Sorry but I don't know of any online application of that sort.
