How to file a restraining order or PFA in Pennsylvania?

Incidents happening to a family member, need to know how she can get a PFA or restraining order against the person who is harassing/abusing her. Help please. Fast.

  1. if there is a center for abused women where you are from go there they give free domestic restraining order packet that are to be filled out and taken to the court for filing. you can also get them usually at the courthouse in family court. It is only free for domestic abuse, there is a cost for harassment only. good luck


  2. Gease Louise when the officer told you that you should have asked at that time and got it straight from the horses mouth.

    You will have to go to the court house an file for one at a cost and then they will let you know a court date. This is not something that just gets taken care of in one day.

  3. Go to the local court house and ask for info at the front desk.It helps to have a police report,so make out a police report ASAP!They should also be able to give you the info you are seeking.Good luck,and I hope this helps.
