Question:

How to find Biological Parents?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I was adopted, and both of my adopted parents have passed away. I wouldn't even know where to start to look for my birth parents (I love my parents and have always know I am adopted. I have no anger towards my birth parents and understand the reasons I was given up and the reason I was adopted - this is purely for health reasons).

Anyone have any ideas of how to start??

  1. How much do you know?

Are your records sealed, and if so, can you get them opened?

Put this question over in the adoption section,  too, for more help.

    Good luck on your search.

  2. Hi, I understand what your going thru to a certain point I am adopted as well. I had thought about searching for my biological parents but am still at the stage of unforgiveness. I had been given a webpage that a friend of mine gave to me when I was ready to start searching for information about my parents but never did use it. I'm not sure if it will help you but it is a way to start the process as long as it is something that happened in Ontario. Please check out  www.mcss.gov.on.ca. Then go under Programs and click on searching for adoption records in Ontario

There is some kind of Adoption Disclosure Legislation that has passed in May 2008 that is suppose to give you information about your adoption and  any information that pertains to it. Good Luck and hope this can help you!! Let me know if you get anywhere with this

  3. Internet, internet, internet baby! If you have their first and last names or even some of your other realtives first and last names you can look on various  people search sites. My favorite is Zabasearch! omg, its awsome! Totaly free, and you're gareenteed to find someone
