How to find Hail Damage on Car?

Recently drove through a hail storm.

I cant see any visible dents or dings on the body of the car. I know hail can cause very small dents and can be seen under certain lighting, but how can I tell ?

Should i first wash the car to see if there is damage.

Look for small pock marks anywhere on the horizontal surfaces and trim.  It's a sad thing.

If you can't see any damage, why worry about it

Wash the car out in the sun and then look at the top of it at an angle.
