  1. see your neighbours, friends, family,,,only safe place to ask,, juging on this day of age,,.... never trust anyone outside your family circle.

  2. Around ur neighboorhood

  3. I would really try and find someone that you know or someone who can recommend someone. I personally would never hire anyone off the internet to look after my children. Nor would i advertise for someone. Ask around at schools or nurseries.

  4. Normally when i get babysitting jobs its because i know the child or have been seen good with kids.  If i was you i would ask someone you know or trust...if the child is in school or nursey i am sure if you ask there they will give you the names and numbers of decent known babysitters or offer themselves.

    good luck

  5. i'll babysit, desperatley need money!

  6. Ask around your friends and stuff.

I babysit for a close family friend and because of that I have started babysitting for the cousins of the kids I babysat for first. I already know the family very well (aunts, cousins, grandparents etc.) and they respect me so it was easy to start babysitting for their kids.

When you come across a potential babysitter make sure you are aware of how she first interacts with the kids and how she deals with shy kids (like is open like 'What's your name?' or 'I like your shoes). When you are telling them about the kids, their routine etc. they should be interested and willing to ask more questions. They should also show an understanding about kids feelings and why they do things and such.

And before you hire a babysitter ask the kids (if old enough) what they think!!

  7. google duh~~!!!

  8. always go with a teen like 16 and up they have more patience with a kid then a old lady  and do a good job just to get paid

  9. When I was a kid, my baby-sitters were always teenage girls who were the daughters of my parents' friends or people that they knew from church.  Ask your friends and neighbors for recommendations.  You may want to meet the person first to see what kind of feeling you have about them.  If they don't seem responsible enough, don't hire them.

  10. Ask around. Word of mouth is the only way I would hire one. Get a lot of references.  Ask neighbors, people at church, call the local high school....things like that. you'll find an abundance!

  11. ask friends if they have daughters, sons, nieces, nefews or if they know other people who have kids that are over 12 and want to babysit.

you want to look for someone responible who isn't going to back out. also, some babysitting training courses are a good thing to look at (such as the Red Cross program). Or if they have or had younger brothers or sisters or cousins they have looked after before. hands experience is the best indicator.

i hope you can find one. sometimes you can call the Red Cross and they have a listing or boys and girls who have completed their course in your area if you cant find a family friend.

  12. Community. Ask around to friends to see if anyone has experience watching kids or if anyone has a teenager who likes kids.

  13. ummm go to a local library for advertisements or ask around the neighborhood. once you find a babysitter u might like, ask if she would need any transportation to ur house. and make sure he/she is old enough and has responsibility. make sure they can do cpr and to give them ALL ur contact info. the usual fee is 8-10$/hr. or if in high school usually a little bit more. i remember getting jipped once i got like 3 bucks an hour once for when i babysat on a friday night for like 5 hours. AND the kids were brats.

  14. Penny-saver

    a type of magazine

    but full of babysitters

    & cheap ones

  15. if u live in a smaller size town you can see if your local radio station has a daily show where u can trade or sell things go on air and say u are looking for a baby sitter give them info to use such as i would like it to be a female what age u want if u want her to sit at your home ect. or take out an ad in the paper when u find a few people interview them at your home ask them for refrences and actually check them out. I like to spend some time with the person i choose to see how they interact with your kids good luck

  16. tell friends ask if they have any family or friends the word will spread young people need the money.  and many adore children.

  17. you could hang signs around asking for anyone that babysits to come in for a interview. A good babysitter should be certified and know cpr oh and of course be good with kids

  18. www.kijiji.ca for Canada

    and

    www.kijiji.com for the USA

  19. Trade them in for a house broken doggie ,end of worries

  20. are you looking for a night out or something more long term?

i would suggest family or friends for night out. if it's for a more regular gig, find friends with sitters who could recommend someone. you always want to find someone with references (and make sure to call them) because you want to make sure this person is okay!

  21. Get their CPR certification, baby sitting license certificate (if applicable, usually just teens have that, but some adults do)

Ask (if they're minors) to meet their parents, have a lengthy sit down talk with them.

If they're adults ask for their legal backround (backround check) you can get that from your local police dept, you'll need the persons permission though. If they have a problem allowing that, do NOT hire them, period.

    request references.

You can put ads in your local paper.

  22. Get a big time service. 1 of every 4 babysitters end up injuring the child
