  1. I would look under rocks and leaves.  Also they may be by any creeks or ponds.  Also, they like to sun bathe on concrete or asphalt on sunny days.  I hope this helps.

  2. why do u want to if its to keep u need to know keeping wild caught snakes is cruel immoral and environmentally reprehensible when a wild animal i removed from its natural environment and put in a confined space it causes massive amounts of stress. this affects herps (reptiles and amphibians) very badly worse than most other orders many die simply from the stress of being in captivity it also weakens there immune system meaning more die from disease. those that survive suffer from stress related behavior disorders, stress related illness and have a shortened life span. there quality of life is pretty bad too

  3. It depends on the community. If it is a true suburb like houses right next to each other. Give up. If it is a more rural community that is populated put each house has like an acre to itself i would say to look.

It has to be foresty. All that I do is take rocks off of this rock-fence my dad made and I find plenty.

  4. It's doubtful you'll find one in your yard.  You'd have to search more near forests and grassy areas that are farther away from the community.

  5. If you can find snakes in a plane then you can find snakes in your yard..........................

  6.   Look  any  area  leaves  are  piled,  rocks,  old  lumber,  wood pile,  along  sides  of  sheds and  garage.  But  when  exposed they  move  very  fast.

  7. look around rocks especialy under ones that are suspended by other rocks so they can go underneath them without being squished. Also look around places where prey would be, frogs, rodents. In my back yar their is a rock wall and their are abuot six that I can see almost every day. try hiking somwhere near buy with less noise poluntion in the woods

  8. If there are none in your yard, you won't find any there. Are they common in your area at all?
