How to find a home organization specialist...?

I'm not really sure if that's even what they're called. It's not a maid, but it's someone who comes in and shows you how to organize your home so everything isn't so cluttered. I've seen these people on TV shows before.

How would I go about finding one? I'm thinking about getting my mom an appointment with one for Christmas. She's kind of a hoarder (not severely) and I know that she really wants to organize our house, but she doesn't know where to start and she's overwhelmed because she saves everything. I've tried to help her sort through things, but she almost has an anxiety attack when I try to help.

I just googled that question and got the name of a company in Chicago that does that called White Space. Their web is "getwhitespace.com"--maybe you could start there.

Since I am also a "pack rat", I know what your Mom is going through! That's a GREAT gift idea. You are a good daughter.
