How to find a home schools in Illinois?

My son is 16 and will not go to school. He has been bullied for many years and it has caught up with him in high school. Now he will not go I need to find an other way for him to get through high school. Any one will any help please let me know Thanks

  1. Look up info in your area about the GED (general equivalency degree).

    The last day of late registration for spring is February 11th.

    This really isn't a home school, it's "public school at home", but it's a good program.

    There really are no set "home schools" in IL.  If you choose to HS, you're considered a private school.  Here's a great place to get info:

  3. Home school is something you and your son would do together at home. There are support groups and co ops out there, but you would be the one in charge of his education. There are a lot of different options for curriculum as well. For my High schooler, we used Abeka for Language Arts (it is difficult to just jump in, I would suggest a placement test), Saxon for Math, Apologia for Science, and Lifepacs from Alpha Omega are great for all types of different subjects.
