Is there a way to see names, births, deaths, basically a list of graves and information online form a cemetery? Specifically, Laurel Hill cemetary in Philadelphia, PA or any of the other big cemeteries there.

  1. Don't forget to search at Rootsweb (http://www.rootsweb.com) and USGenWeb.  They have web sites and mailing lists devoted to cemetery research.  At USGenWeb, each state has a main site and each county in that state has a connected site.  If volunteers researching a particular county have posted cemetery listings, this is a likely place to find them.  My daughter, brother, nephew, and I went through several small cemeteries in the Tennessee county where our ancestors settled more than 200 years ago, and got all the tombstones names, dates, and inscriptions to post.  It was a lot of fun.

    Hope this helps.

  3. There are several sources: http://www.interment.net/cemetery.htm

    http://www.findagrave.com/

    http://www.idreamof.com/

Also look at state and county records Many have cemtery listings. Just be aware that they may not be complete.

  4. I would start by googling the name and  location of the cemetery.  If that doesn't yield results, try googling the historical society of the town or county where the cemetery is and see whether it has anyone who does look-ups or whether it has a book of cemetery readings in the area.
