  1. BOOKS!!!! MY MAN THEN GO OUT AND PRACTICE

  2. go to a bunch of courses in the area and get the profiles of the different pros in your area.  try and meet them and see who you like.  most are very knowledgeable, but it's finding the one that's right for you that's the ticket.

if you want the BEST, be ready to fork over a ton of money!  go to the top courses in your area because they usually hire the best with more experience (sometimes they can be pricks tho, that's why you want to meet them before you fork your money over to them).

    good luck!

  3. Your aptitude for the game pretty much determines whether or not you will be successful. The BEST will cost you $ 300 plus per hour of instruction. You can get the best local pro for $ 50 per hour with excellent results. Talk with some of your friends who play the game. They will have an insight as to who may be the best instructor for you.

  4. Any good golf or country club should have a resident pro on staff or should be able to recommend one.

  5. Most golf ranges have qualified golf Professionals that give personal or group lessons at reasonable prices.  At the present time you do not need the BEST and I doubt that you could afford it.  You can get lessons from Mr. David Leadbetter when you are a Pro. playing off about +4 handicap, you should be able to afford it then.
