  1. This short article explains how:

  2. I use pcpitstop

  3. Well, if the model number is displayed on thenfront or rear of the macine, then just Google that.

    You can find out the CPU type/speed and the memory capacity, by simultaneously holding down the "Windows" key (between Fn and Alt at the lower left of the keyboard) and the "Break" key (usually at the upper right of the keyboard). When this pops up a window, you can also click the Hardware tab, and then the device manager to get a listing of the various hardware devices on your PC.

  4. I like CPU-Z. You can find it here;

    http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

  5. PC Wizard 2008.

    Tells you anything and everything you'll need to know about your system.  Memory voltages, overclock settings, temperatures, hardware, hardware configurations...everything.

  6. Click on Start

    Click on run

    type dxdiag

    You can get all the info you need from there

  7. The best is DXdiag .

    Just type dxdiag at Run Command

  8. Easy! Just go online and download CPU-Z from CPUID.com, for mobo, cpu, ram, and other details. I also use GPU-Z for info on my graphics card.

    1.CPU-Z: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

    (Just click on Run. Don't worry about the Microsoft warning. It's safe I assure you!)

    2.GPU-Z: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

    There is also Belarc Adviser.

    Edit: dxdiag isn't as detailed, by WAY FAR!!
